Community Outreach

The County of Hudson in cooperation with the North Jersey Transportation Planning Authority (NJTPA) and the New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJDOT) recognize that community participation is an integral part of all stages of projects, therefore a comprehensive Public Involvement Action Plan (PIAP) has been developed for this project. An outreach program has been developed for this Local Preliminary Engineering (PE) Phase of the project to include local officials, community stakeholders, agency representatives, and the general public in the transportation improvement development process.

A Public Meeting has been scheduled on Wednesday, August 12, 2026, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the William V. Musto Cultural Center in Union City. All are invited to join us to learn about the proposed long-term improvements to the retaining wall along Manhattan Avenue in Union City. We encourage everyone attend. For more information, view the Public Meeting flyer.
